Chief Commercial Officer
Job Summary: The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead the commercial operations of the hospitality group, focusing on business development, sales, marketing, and revenue management to drive profitability. The CCO will develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand market share, increase occupancy rates, and enhance the overall customer experience. This role requires collaboration with other departments, including finance, operations, and technology, to ensure the alignment of commercial strategies with the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the organization’s long-term goals. These strategies will focus on revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability.
- Sales & Marketing Leadership: Oversee the sales and marketing teams to ensure that the brand is well-positioned in the market. Develop initiatives to drive direct bookings, optimize digital marketing efforts, and strengthen brand awareness.
- Revenue Management: Ensure effective revenue management practices across the properties by maximizing room occupancy and average daily rate (ADR). Collaborate with revenue management teams to forecast, analyze, and implement strategies to optimize revenue.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to grow the brand's footprint in key markets. Build relationships with potential investors, partners, and key stakeholders in the hospitality industry.
- Customer Experience: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that customer experience initiatives are driving guest satisfaction and loyalty, while also being in line with commercial goals.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics and market research to inform decisions and adjust strategies as necessary. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure commercial success and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor the sales, marketing, revenue management team. Foster a high-performance culture with clear goals and accountability.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Work closely with the finance department to develop commercial budgets, manage expenses, and ensure that all commercial activities are cost-effective and within budget.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial roles within the hospitality industry; international experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality revenue management practices and systems (PMS, RMS, CRM).
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, investors, and customers.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce, and online distribution channels.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Azerbaijani, English and Russian.
